Here I am again. I would have liked to write this entry a few days ago but you know, we are close to the final exams and the tasks in every subject are increasing. Without further delay, I will focus the attention in the last part of my own portfolio: the dossier. In this part of the blog, we should include some examples of our work with the different languages ​​learned or with those that we are learning now. I have to say that I have been able to find many works in Spanish but not many in Valencian or English. That is because in our school they didn't give enough importance to practice for example Valencian so students became more confident using the language of our country. As a result, most of the tasks were done in Spanish and in those subjects that were in Valencian we tended to change the language in which they were scheduled without the hindrance of the teacher. First, I am goingo to show you some texts I wrote for my English class when I was 15, I think. I was in the third year of the compulsory education. This is an example of my english proficiency years ago, when I was 19. In concrete, it is a writing that I was asked to do for my english academy about a book that we had read. I have choosen this witing because it shows the english level I had 3 years ago, and I consider this a reliable prove because it was done in an academic context, so likely I did my best. Hi everyone once again. In this post, I will talk about experiences that I had with languages and the level I have achieved in each of them. For this, a template obtained from the Europass website will help me. Language Passport by the intelligents on Scribd I didn't include Spanish because it is my first language and I used it for almost everything as I explained in the biography. In this post, I am going to talk about my language experience during my life. The first language that I learn was Valencian, because it is my mother tongue and both my father an my mother speak and taught to me. My father grew up in La Pobla de Vallbona, and my mother grew up in Benaguasil. Both of these towns are very close each other and historically, in both of them nearly all the population speak and use Valencian in their daily life. They learned Spanish when they were in primary school. This fact has made me use Valencian every time I can and in every situation or context in which people can understand me. BIOGRAPHY In this section, I will talk about my language experience from the very beginning. First of all, I must say Valencian is my mother tongue. It is the language that both my mother and father speak and taught me. My parents both grew up in Benitachell, Alicante, so they learned Valencian since they were just little kids. To begin with, I have to say that I can speak fluently in three languages: English, Spanish and Valencian. It is obvious that I handle myself better in Spanish rather than in Valencian or English because I am Spanish speaker. Biography How should I start? I think that the best answer for this question is to talk about my mother tongue and then which is the other or the others I can use without any problem. Well, it seems logic that my first language is Spanish and that's because I am from Utiel, a spanish speaking small city near Valencia. My university friends maybe are bilingual or have Valencian as first language, but my situation since I was a child is different. Why? That's because of the geographycal situation of my town. It is nearly 90 km far from tha capital and normally, its habitants never speak using Valencian. It is also a hiscorical question too, because Utiel has belonged to Cuenca, one of the provinces which limit with Valencia; and there the only official language is Spanish.
